An exhibition of works by the graduate students of the Visual Arts Department at Stellenbosch University. This annual exhibition showcases graduate work of the Fine Arts, Jewellery Design and Visual Communication Design disciplines within the department.

Warren Editions open day | 9am - 5pm

Visitors will be afforded the opportunity to see a professional print studio in action. The intaglio and relief presses will be in use printing large scale relief works to printing editions by Cape Town based artist Michael Taylor.

Sound Installation | Between Words and Images Collaboration between Ernestine White & Toni Stuart | 10am - 5pm

An interactive sound installation dramatizing the imagined experiences of an unnamed woman as illustrated and narrated in the accounts of French explorer Francois le Vaillant who travelled around the Cape between 1781 and 1784. Le Vaillant was a guest at Rust en Vreugd, thus making the venue an appropriate backdrop for unpacking this narrative. Through the poetic voice the once silenced colonised ‘Other’ is made audible and given a central place in the narrative.

Pop Goes The Revolution | The New Church Walkabout with the curator, Kirsty Cockerill | 5 for 5.30pm

For the second exhibition presented by The New Church, Kirsty Cockerill has selected works from the collection that focus on notions of Pop art and its engagement with satire and irreverence.
